Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes various practical sessions and exercises. Theory learnt will be applied using industrial hygiene simulator. This course aims to provide a broad based introduction to ergonomic principles and their application in design of work, equipment and the workplace. Consideration is a given to musculo-skeletal disorders, manual handling, ergonomics aspects of the environment as well as to the social and legal aspects. On completing this course successfully, the participants will have a basic understanding of the following. 1) Understand and apply ergonomic principles to the creation of safer, healthier and more efficient and effective activities in the workplace. 2) Understand ergonomic risk assessments and appropriate control measures. 3) Understand the causes of upper limb disorders and how to reduce them. 4) Appreciate workplace layout and equipment design.5)Appreciate environmental aspects of good ergonomic design

VIRTUAL TRAINING (IF APPLICABLE)

If this course is delivered online as a Virtual Training, the following limitations will be applicable:

Certificates : Only soft copy certificates will be issued
Training Materials : Only soft copy materials will be issued
Training Methodology : 80% theory, 20% practical
Training Program : 4 hours per day, from 09:30 to 13:30
