Course Description

This practical and highly-interactive course includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series ofinteractive small groups and class workshops. Seismic Data have become the key and most important tool used in the petroleum industry to understand the subsurface. Various types of seismic data surveys, through 2D, 3D & 4D clear structural images make it possible to map reservoir quality and the distribution of oil and gas. This course provides a useful overview of the importance of seismic data, and more importantly the significance of properly planning, initiating, managing, controlling and evaluating seismic data acquisition projects. In addition to this, ample background on project and contract management is covered for one to understand the stages of a seismic data acquisition project. This course is designed to provide participants with a detailed and up-to-date overview of Seismic Acquisition Project Management. It covers the scope and objectives of a seismic data acquisition project; the learn the various aspects and methodology of project and contract management applicable to seismic data acquisition; the stages of the project management process pertaining to seismic data acquisition; and the project and contract management in seismic data acquisition.
